ANGELIKA’S NOTE

HAMLET (2000) is a brilliant modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s iconic play of the same name, about a young man in his journey to avenge his father’s death. With stunning direction from Michael Almereyda (MARJORIE PRIME) and brilliant performances from Ethan Hawke (BEFORE SUNRIS), Kyle MacLaughlin (TWIN PEAKS), Julia Stiles (10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU), Bill Murray (LOST IN TRANSLATION), Sam Shepard (AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY) and more. The New York Times calls it "Vital and sharply intelligent."
