ANGELIKA’S NOTE

August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play comes to life on the big screen from Academy Award winner Denzel Washington, who directs and stars as former professional baseball player Troy, alongside his wife Rose (Academy Award winner Viola Davis). Tension is stirred within the family when Troy denies his teenange son's (Jovan Adepo) dream of playing college football, and comes home with a baby he had through an affair. Davis won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her earth-shattering performance. Rated 92% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, Academy Awards Best Picture nominee FENCES also stars Stephen McKinley Henderson, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson, and Saniyya Sydney. The Seattle Times raves, "FENCES wraps you and whirls you in a heady cyclone of words, ultimately dropping you gently on the ground, moved and changed and unexpectedly uplifted by the journey."
