ANGELIKA’S NOTE

This Oscar and Golden Globe nominee from Oscar winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu (BIRDMAN, THE REVENANT) centers on three lives that are tragically intertwined in the aftermath of a horrific car accident. Rated 92% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, AMORES PERROS, Iñárritu’s first feature and Gael Garcia Bernal’s film acting debut, was heralded by New York Magazine as “a truly prodigious piece of work, resembling a career summation far more than a maiden voyage.” It became a huge success worldwide and helped call attention to the New Mexican Cinema that started in the mid-1990s.

SYNOPSIS

Three different people are catapulted into dramatic and unforeseen circumstances in the wake of a terrible car crash: a young punk stumbles into the sinister underground world of dog fighting; an injured supermodel’s designer pooch disappears into the apartment’s floorboards; and an ex-radical turned hit man rescues a gunshot Rotweiler. From Mexico City’s mean streets to its posh high-rises, no one is exempt from destiny.
