ANGELIKA’S NOTE

From BAFTA nominated Director/Writer Hirokazu Koreeda (STILL WALKING, SHOPLIFTERS), the Cannes and Toronto International Film Festival Official Selection AIR DOLL follows a life-size blow-up doll who develops a soul and falls in love with a video store clerk. Heralded by the Philadelphia Inquirer as "a charming, richly textured fable that touches on fundamental questions of existence."

SYNOPSIS

Hideo, a young and lonesome “everyman” video clerk who shares a life of solitude with his one true love Nozomi. Hideo confides in her, showers her with gifts and affection, and is intimate with her on all levels, physical and emotional. The only catch: Nozomi is an inflatable doll. Until suddenly… she’s not.
