ANGELIKA’S NOTE

Writer/director Angela Robinson's film details the unconventional life of the mind behind Wonder Woman, Dr. William Marston, and the controversy he faced upon the creation of this ahead-of-her-time superhero. Marston was in a polyamorous relationship with his psychologist wife Elizabeth, and an academic, Olive Byrne. Elizabeth and Olive's feminist ideals were ingrained in Wonder Woman from her creation, and after Marston's passing in 1947, Elizabeth and Olive remained a couple and raised their children together. This Toronto International Film Festival selection "stands head, shoulders, boots, tiara and lasso above many independent films of the moment" (Wall Street Journal) and stars Luke Evans (MIDWAY, FAST AND FURIOUS 6), Rebecca Hall (TEEN SPIRIT, VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA) and Bella Heathcote (THE NEON DEMON, IN TIME).
